A Pandora's Box of English Folk Songs

Both English-born, John Roberts & Tony Barrand have been singing folksongs together since 1969, after they met as graduate students in Ithaca, NY. Singing in unaccompanied harmony, or with concertina or banjo, their entertaining style has delighted audiences at major festivals and venues such as Fox Hollow, Mariposa Folk Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Old Songs, Mystic Sea Music Festival, to name but a few.

Though many of our albums are thematic, this one is not, and reflects the range of the English folk tradition, with lyric songs, traditional ballads, music hall songs, and a couple of recent additions to the tradition.
